Manufacturing businesses across the West Midlands are to receive expert guidance and funding, to capitalise on a new wave of economic opportunities.
Goldman Sachs, a major global finance business has announced its expansion in Birmingham, with the addition of 500 staff. Goldman Sachs’ Birmingham office opened in 2022, located at One Centenary Way, in the heart of the city centre amongst the £1bn Paradise Birmingham development.
The Goldman Sachs current Birmingham Birmingham office is already the base for 500 staff, with this figure set to double. Committing to a mult-billion pound investment into the UK tech industry, Goldman Sachs is increasing it’s workforce in Birmingham, as the city establishes it’s position as a global powerhouse in the financial and tech industry.
Goldman Sachs also holds a London office, and across the UK employs over 6,000 people.
Chief Executive at the West Midlands Growth Company, Neil Rami said: “Goldman Sachs’ decision to double its headcount here reinforces the West Midlands’ rise as a global hotspot for financial and professional services. This renewed vote of confidence demonstrates that we have the specialist talent, infrastructure and connectivity to support the growth ambitions of the world’s biggest businesses.”
